Buying your Investment Property: Legalities of the Offer and Acceptance

Getting your investment property involves filling out the right forms

Anyone wanting to purchase investment property in Western Australia is required, along with the seller, to complete an Offer and Acceptance (O&A) form as part of the contract of sale. Make sure you complete this when buying investment properties.

The buyer makes a formal offer in writing on the O&A and the seller either accepts, counter offers, or declines the offer. As soon as this document is signed and accepted by all parties (seller and buyer) it becomes a legally binding contract and a deposit will be due. This is a vital component of buying your investment property.

Prior to signing and buying your investment property, it is important to understand the role of the Offer and Acceptance and the legalities of the process. Need more tips for buying an investment property? Contact us on (08) 9200 7200 or email info@investorassist.com.au.
